An assessment of development opportunities and potential through a site appraisal and/or feasibility study is a good starting point for determining if beneficial development is possible. This would include an examination of national and local planning policies as well as liaison with other development and property professionals including local authorities where appropriate.
Planning Applications & Listed Building Consents
The practice has extensive experience in the preparation, negotiation and submission of planning applications and listed building consents on all types of development . These include householder development, such as extensions, as well as residential, commercial, agricultural and leisure proposals including changes of use. Depending on the type and complexity of the application, this can be undertaken inhouse or in conjunction with other professionals such as architects.
Appeals
The practice is particularly adept at dealing with appeals by written representations, local hearings and public inquiries. If its a complicated case, we work with other experts and the legal profession to put the best possible case forward.

Development Plans
The practice can also prepare and submit representations to Government Policy, Regional Plans, Local Plans as well as the promotion of sites through the plan process. Includes presentation of evidence at Examinations in Public.
The practice also has experience of Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessments and 5 year land availability studies. It can offer advice and undertake work on such matters.
Enforcement
The practice is particularly adept at dealing with Enforcement Matters. It undertakes the provision of advice and guidance to individuals and companies who are subject to enforcement investigations or notices as well as undertaking appeals.
Other Planning Issues
Assistance and advice given to individuals and companies regarding lodging objections or to offer support on various planning proposals and issues. We also undertake liaison and can appoint other professionals such as Highway and Noise experts on particular issues as well as Barristers and Solicitors regarding legal cases as necessary.
